TULIP Awards Special

I am really proud and excited to share the launch of a new award, which particularly focuses on recognising and celebrating colleagues who have shown a commitment to the delivery of exceptional care towards our patients and local communities.Julie Hogg, Chief Nurse

The TULIP Award, which stands for Touching Unique Lives in Practice, recognises colleagues who go above and beyond when looking after patients, directly or indirectly, and who demonstrate the highest levels of care.

Individual members of #TeamSFH bring their own unique contribution to a patient’s experience with us. This award recognises and congratulates anyone who has provided exceptional care and dedication when looking after patients.

If you have seen a colleague deliver outstanding care, you can now nominate them for a TULIP award. Anyone can nominate Sherwood colleagues for a TULIP award, including fellow colleagues, patients and members of the public.
At Sherwood, we deliver wonderful and fantastic care to our patients every single day, and I am excited to be able to recognise those deserving colleagues who consistently strive towards outstanding care for all.

I look forward to reading the nominations of Sherwood’s well-deserving colleagues, and meeting and thanking our winners and their teams for everything they do to look after our patients and local community.

Julie Hogg
Chief Nurse

You can nominate your colleagues by visiting the TULIP website page here. Complete a nomination form and send it to sfh-tr.tulipawards@nhs.net

All colleagues can be nominated for a TULIP award if they have shown a delivery of outstanding care – where colleagues cross over into a number of different award categories, their nomination will be moved into the correct award entry (ie Nurses into the DAISY award and Doctors into the Doctors Awards).

A winner’s presentation will take place every month, following voting from the TULIP judging panel. The winner will receive a beautiful badge to wear with pride, a signed certificate and cakes for their team kindly funded by Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charity.
